Traditional drawing is emphasized as a basis for all work, even comic book, fantasy or anime. It requires a lot of rendering from direct observation, a more difficult task and therefore a big requirement of most high school and college level portfolios. Self-portraits, figure drawings, object studies and still life drawings are commonly requested. Projects covered will include CCPS high school portfolio requirements for those on the ARTS track upon entering High School. Spring into Art - Spring 2020 Registration closes in 6 days Starts March 17th Spring into Art For ages 7 – 10.Spring into Art is a mixed media class designed to inspire the young child’s artistic talents. The students will develop their art skills with a variety of mediums. We will create a new project every week that can be proudly displayed. This session, the class will make a rainbow clay pot, draw bunnies in a garden using charcoal and paint a dragonfly with watercolors. ERR Arrows - Youth Track and Field Spring 2020 ERR Arrows—Youth Track and Field Ages 7 and up (must be turning 7 by December 31, 2020 to participate) March 17—June 4 Tues and Thurs South Carroll High School Practice Schedule: 3/17 – 5:30-7:00: ONLY those new to the program 3/19 – 5:30-7:00: All Arrows (new and returning) 3/24 through 6/4 -- every Tues/Thurs.: 5:30-6:30 younger group runs; 6:30-7:30 older group runs. 4/2 through 6/4 – Optional High Jump/Long Jump every Tues/Thurs: (Older Group: 6:00-6:30; Younger group: 6:30-7:00) PROGRAM INFORMATION Athletes separated by age and specialty (sprints; distance; long jump/high jump). FLL Junior Robotics (Grades K-3, sponsored by... 2019/20 You must have a participation code to signup,to register for this program FIRST LEGO League Junior is open to students who are 6-9 years old by January. Teams of up to six children explore a scientific concept, then build a model and code it to make it move using LEGO® Education WeDo 2.0. They also develop a Show Me Poster to illustrate their journey of discovery. Teams are formed in the community as coaches (2 or more per team) volunteer and determine meeting times and location BEFORE signing up members. If you do not yet have a team assignment, email signup.pie3@gmail.com to inquire about possible team openings or about coaching a new team. Coach training is available; no experience is required. SIGNUP FOR A TEAM ONLY IF YOU ARE COACHING OR HAVE BEEN INSTRUCTED BY YOUR COACH. Assignment to a team is NOT guaranteed otherwise, and refunds will generally not be given.
